From Challenge to Confidence

Jayakrishnan C G

Jayakrishnan C G joined Manovikas in June 1994 at the age of 12. He was a child with intellectual disability and was unable to perform even basic daily activities independently. With continuous training and dedicated support from Manovikas, he gradually developed essential life skills and confidence. Recognizing his progress, he was appointed as a peon in 2003 at the age of 19. Today, Jayakrishnan is a sincere and dependable staff member.

A Life of Service and Strength

Ansari

Ansari joined Manovikas at the age of 6 along with his younger sister, both having intellectual disabilities. With continuous care and training, he gradually developed the skills needed for daily life and work. In 2019, he was appointed as an Aya at Manovikas. Despite his own challenges, Ansari uses his earnings to support the treatment of his mother and to care for his sister.

Rising to Responsibility

Sreekumar

Sreekumar joined Manovikas at the age of 13 after facing learning and behavioral difficulties in regular school. With continuous care and guidance, he developed life skills and vocational abilities. Trained in driving and car mechanics, he is now working in a workshop, earning a livelihood. He is now the main support for his mother and family.

From Struggles to Rhythm

Joel

Joel, a child with Down syndrome, joined Manovikas at the age of five. His teachers discovered his natural sense of rhythm, leading to training in Chenda with the support of Mattannur Sankarankutty Marar. Joel grew into a talented performer, presenting on stages across Kerala and earning recognition from renowned artists.

From Challenges to Champion

Arya

Arya joined Manovikas at a young age with severe behavioral challenges. With dedicated care and training, her energy was shaped into sporting talent. In 2019, she represented India at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi, winning silver medals in the 100m and 200m races.

From Silence to Skill

Amal B

Amal B joined Manovikas in 2015 at the age of 12. He is non-verbal, but showed strong talent in drawing. Manovikas guided him to learn electric welding in 2023. Today, he is employed with a reputed firm, earning a steady income and supporting his family.

From Dependence to Dignity

Albin

Albin joined Manovikas with challenges in communication and daily living skills. With continuous training and support, he improved and learned vocational skills, especially cotton waste making. Today, he works independently at home, earns an income, and supports his family.
